It's the dynamic text that appears when you press a button that the characters aren't showing!

Also you are right, I wasn't thinking, gold star is easiest to think of!

Cool game, it's too bad your Skeletons (regardless of which) are as dumb as the enemies.
Why not have them follow the cursor, too easy?

Edit: Cheating (infinite health/mana) is pretty fun but the game gets crazy slow.
Playing on the Desktop version works wonders as levels past like 50? shake the screen like crazy (lots of exploding enemies)

Thats a nice idea, i didnt think of that during the jam.
But also on the other side that sounds like it would make the skeletons feel like just mindless minions, and i feel that leaving their AI as it is at the momment would make them feel like they have a mind of their own while still trying to follow you around.
