I'd seen a picture with the New(grounds)-bots in the settings and it got me curious as to who they were, aside from good ol' P-bot. I later finally found the "Portal Bot Posse", here.

And digging into its comments I found:

Okay! I think I got this figured out.

P-Bot is inspired from VINCENT.

I-Bot is inspired from Johnny 5.

G-Bot is inspired from ELECTRO.

M-Bot is inspired from your own series of ALLOY.

And both F-Bot and A-Bot are Transformers inspirations (Soundwave & Arcee)

This is a pretty kick-ass group picture.
